Samaritan® AED

The same brilliant scientific mind that developed the world’s first portable, battery operated external defibrillator over 35 years ago has now developed the latest in AED technology with the HeartSine Samaritan® AED. Drawing on extensive defibrillation experience, HeartSine manufactures and markets defibrillators worldwide for use in homes, schools, offices, golf courses, pools, ambulances, government and military facilities.
Taking it to the Streets

HeartSine spent several years testing its technology out in the real world – where people have their cardiac arrests. It was also tested extensively for ease of use by real lay rescuers, not professional responders. After all, what good is great technology if you can’t figure it out when the time comes?

Portable, Reliable, and Maintenance Free

Weighing in at only 4 lbs., the small, lightweight yet durable Samaritan® AED is suitable for any setting.

Tested to meet the most recent Military Standards, the Samaritan® AED has been designed to be extremely rugged and reliable. Automated self checks and a long battery life makes the Samaritan® an AED you can count on, without any hassles.

Intuitive Interface – Easy to Use

Samaritan’s® intuitive interface coaches infrequent and experienced users alike, helping them to provide the best care possible.

The Samaritan® is the only AED that provides an on screen graphic of correct pad placement, reinforcing the other 4 instructional pad graphics found on the device. This graphical icon is repeated five times, coaching and guiding the rescuer through the most important part of the rescue process--pad placement!

Won’t Let You Push the Wrong Button When Time Counts

The Samaritan® is the only AED with a Shock Safety Feature. Once the Samaritan® charges up and advises the user to press the shock button, the AED will emit a verbal and text warning if the on/off button is pushed by mistake. This feature has been proven to save precious time.

Large Display, Clear Instructions

Samaritan® AED users will appreciate the large backlit screen which displays easy to read, concise instructions in text form. At the same time, they will hear high-fidelity voice prompts that will coach them through the rescue, step-by-step.

The large, 12 square-inch display also exhibits other valuable information such as battery capacity, CPR time-elapsed graph, rescue time clock, number of shocks delivered, and for the advanced users – an optional four second ECG display.

Data-Pak Battery System

The Samaritan® is the only AED to incorporate reliable data storage into the battery. No separate PC cards to purchase and / or lose. This innovative design ensures that all event and device information is captured for post-rescue analysis. This patented feature prevents loss of critical data and helps you comply with new regulations. The data can then be easily reviewed using HeartSine’s SAVER Software on standard PC’s.

HeartSine Technologies is a company that is committed to advancing defibrillation technology and expanding the use of AEDs throughout the world. HeartSine is dedicated to assisting organizations, businesses and cities design, implement, and manage AED programs in their communities…from installing AEDs to maintaining the AED programs. Lifepak® 500 Automated External Defibrillator

The LIFEPAK 500® AED is designed to be used by first responders to cardiac emergencies. Intuitive operation makes it the ideal product for infrequent users. It has clear screen messages, voice prompts and lighted buttons to guide responders through operation. Pre-connected QUIK-COMBO defibrillation electrodes save valuable time on-scene, are compatible with other LIFEPAK defibrillators used by most emergency medical services, and can stay with the patient all the way to intensive care. At only seven pounds, this rugged device is extremely portable. Automatic self-testing and a visible readiness display helps assure that the device is ready to go.

LIFEPAK® CR Plus Defibrillator

Medtronic created the LIFEPAK CR Plus defibrillator especially for the first person at the scene of a sudden cardiac arrest. Outside the hospital, that person is often someone without medical training.1 Because time to defibrillation is so important to survival, the recommended goal from arrest to defibrillation is within 3-5 minutes or sooner—before paramedics arrive.

The CR Plus is easy to understand and use. It was designed so that anyone with minimal CPR and AED training can quickly and effectively give a potentially lifesaving shock to some in sudden cardiac arrest. The CR Plus is the only fully automatic AED on the market and tells you exactly what to do with easy-to-understand voice prompts and visual cues. With the fully automatic CR Plus you assess the person in sudden cardiac arrest, then open the defibrillator and apply the electrode pads. QUIK-PAK™ electrodes are preconnected and easy to open and apply, with pictures showing you how to adhere them quickly and properly. The device analyzes the heart’s rhythm and then does the rest. With the semiautomatic CR Plus the device analyzes the heart’s rhythm and tells you to push a button if the heart needs a shock.

The CR Plus offers the quality and performance preferred by the vast majority of emergency medical teams around the world. Sleek and lightweight, the CR Plus uses the latest ADAPTIV™ biphasic technology and upholds the standards of excellence found in all LIFEPAK products. With Infant/Child Reduced Energy Defibrillation Electrodes, the LIFEPAK CR Plus defibrillator may also be used on children up to 8 years old or 25 kg (55 lb).

ZOLL Medical Corporation (NASDAQ: ZOLL), with worldwide headquarters in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, designs, manufactures, and markets resuscitation solutions. ZOLL also designs and markets software that automates the collection and management of both clinical and non clinical data.

ZOLL AED Plus with CPR Feedback
The AED Plus(tm) is the only AED that helps rescuers achieve the recommended depth and rate of chest compressions during CPR. By creating a device that focuses on every step of the rescue process, ZOLL differentiates its AED from other products. While other AEDs concentrate on the delivery of the "shock," ZOLL's AED Plus guides rescuers through the "Chain of Survival," including checking the victim's vital signs, calling 911, defibrillation, and the proper administration of CPR.

The AED Plus with CPR Feedback has a unique one-piece pre-connected electrode, known as the CPR-D padz(tm). Its unique technology offers an unmatched four-year shelf life, twice that of others on the market. The CPR-D padz includes a hand-placement locator and accurately measures CPR compressions, allowing for feedback on proper rate and depth. Audio Feedback tells a rescuer, "Press Harder" or "Good Compressions."

The AED Plus is the only AED to use cost-effective off-the-shelf lithium batteries. It is immediately recognized by its distinct lime-green color, which was chosen for its association with safety, calming effect on the rescuer, and its ability to be easily seen.
